A day in the life of a Optimizely Backend Developer
As an Optimizely Backend Developer, you fulfil a unique and rewarding role as both a consultant/client advisor, and a hands-on developer. You will shape and participate in every stage of new and ongoing client engagements, from discovery to delivery; collaborating within both regional project teams and our global Optimizely craft circle.
More Specifically, You Will
Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for Optimizely projects
Implement high-quality backend solutions and integrate Optimizely CMS and Commerce platforms with external systems and services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and improvements
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the digital landscape
You and the role
You are someone with at least 5 to 8 years experience in backend development with a focus on Optimizely CMS. You have experience handling extensive customer interaction, know how to communicate with clients, and how to identify additional ways your team can add value. You thrive in fast-paced, agile environment and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation, creativity, and quality.
We would love if you have
Proven experience as an Optimizely (formerly Episerver) Backend Developer
Strong knowledge of .NET framework (C#), ASP.NET MVC, and Web API
Experience with Optimizely CMS and preferably Optimizely Commerce, including content modelling, personalization, and e-commerce integration
Proficiency in SQL, and experience with database design and development
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices
Experience and interest in stepping into a Tech Lead role
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
