How you will make life easier for hundreds of millions of storytellers worldwide:
You will be part of our ever-evolving team of developers, sometimes spending months designing and implementing new exciting features for our customers. And then mixing that up with fixing bugs, investigating edge cases for customers or optimizing performance.
Your responsibilities include:
Implementing features and functionality using mainly TypeScript, Node.js and Angular
Deploying your code, ensuring that it’s well tested and working as expected
Troubleshooting and debugging systems to ensure reliability and performance
Reviewing other developers’ code and working together with the team to find the best solutions
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our technical architecture and design
What about the tech?
We're developing the front end of our web application in Angular 16 with TypeScript and NGXS.
Our backend runs in a Node.js runtime environment with microservices architecture. It's hosted with Kubernetes on AWS with GitHub Actions for CI/CD. We develop all new features in TypeScript. On the database side, we're using MongoDB with Mongoose as ORM. However, we also use PostgreSQL for our Data/AI solutions.
Additionally, our rendering is built with Rust and we are compiling some of this to WebAssembly and use within our frontend. However, you would primarily work with TypeScript/JavaScript in this role.
Please note that we don't expect you to have experience working with all the tech we use, instead we hope you want to grow in your role with us!
What about the team?
Glad you asked! Team spirit and collaboration are super important for us and currently, we're around 20 developers working together to make our product great.
We're organising ourselves into dynamic functional teams that have full-stack competence, hence they are responsible for everything from designing the feature to implementing and testing their code.
We also have a cross-team that includes functions that work with several teams (such as DevOps, UI/UX, CTO, Engineering Manager). Ownership and autonomy are super important for us, and usually, our developers work on a feature from design and development, to release and maintenance in production.

Who are we looking for - really?
You think JavaScript is a nice language for web development, but when it's combined with TypeScript it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. You have probably developed at least one modern web application, perhaps using Angular or React. Either way, you feel that you would be comfortable working with Angular apps.
You generally have a strong belief about using the right kind of tool for the right problem and you’re skeptically curious about new frameworks, libraries, and programming languages.
We’re currently looking for several fullstack developers, and we believe that you either have a passion for frontend development, or you’re just enjoying the variety of working with everything from database layer to CSS. Please indicate your preference in your application, as it will make the recruitment process a lot smoother.
In addition to this, we believe that you:
Have at least three years of experience working with software development, either as a frontend developer, or in a full-stack role
Are comfortable communicating in English
Are a team player, as happy to share your knowledge as you are to consider other’s ideas
